Our review
Weebly is the simplest builder. Best for very basic small business sites that need 5 pages and won't grow significantly. Otherwise, Wix or Squarespace are better picks. Development has slowed under Square ownership.
Pros
- Easiest drag-and-drop UX in the category
- Owned by Square — strong POS + payments integration
- Generous free tier (with Weebly subdomain)
- Cheaper than Wix/Squarespace at entry tier
- Strong template variety
Cons
- Development has slowed since Square acquisition
- Limited modern features (animations, advanced layouts)
- Smaller app marketplace
- Future uncertain (Square may consolidate further)
